Faye Du

Scientist II, Analytical Chemistry at Amyris

Faye Du has worked in the field of Analytical Chemistry for over 15 years. In 2018, they began their current role as Scientist II at Amyris, where they oversee analytical method development and qualification of assays to support project goals. Faye has also developed instrumental methods to measure product titer in fermentation broth and purification streams in areas of flavor & fragrances, fuels, and new chemicals. From 2015 to 2018, Faye worked as a Scientist I and Sr Research Associate at DuPont Industrial Biosciences, where they guided solid and liquid formulation development for various enzymes and managed development projects for fast tracked product release. From 2007 to 2015, Faye was a Research Associate at Genencor, A Danisco Division, where they developed biochemical assays to characterize the expression, function and performance of enzymes and participated in screening campaigns of site evaluation libraries. From 2003 to 2007, Faye was a Production Biochemist at LIST Biological Laboratories, Inc, where they were responsible for the production of bacterial toxins from fermentation, recovery, protein purification and quantification, quality control, packaging and documentation of both Research Grade and cGMP products.

Faye Du attended UC San Diego from 2001 to 2003.
