Nathan M. has a varied work experience, beginning with a role as a Radio DJ at 88.9 FM / KUCI RADIO in 2011. In 2010, they were a Residential Network Consultant and Undergraduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California San Diego. Since 2018, they have been a Software Engineer at Lygos, where they developed web applications for scientists, streamlined existing ad-hoc pipelines and databases, and worked on multiple aspects of the stack. In 2020, they began a role as a Software Engineer at Amyris.
Nathan M. attended UC Irvine from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Nathan then attended UC San Diego from 2012 to 2018, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology.
