Randy Hou

Randy Hou has over 8 years of work experience in the engineering field. From 2018 to present, they have been working at Amyris as a Facilities Production Engineer and Project Engineer/Pilot Plant Reliability Engineer. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Versa Engineering & Technology as a Process Engineer, where they were the owner representative Project Engineer/Process Engineer for a gene therapy startup. Finally, from 2012 to 2015, they worked at AMPAC as an Associate Process Engineer, where they successfully led, ran, and supported 13 different R&D campaigns at the 100-1000 gallon scale.

Randy Hou began their education at California State University, Stanislaus in 2008. In 2010, they transferred to the University of California, Davis where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 2012. In May of 2012, they obtained an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification from the NCEES.
