Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards is the Director of DLA Programs at Amyx. Robert has over two years of experience as a Program Manager, leading the Application Transition team to migrate applications to meet current cybersecurity posture of DLA.

Edwards has experience in transitioning a Silverlight application to HTML5 and managing the TFS project, areas, and iterations supporting 2 production applications. Robert has also planned and migrated three separate moves for 11 applications from DLA on-premise facilities to DOD grade cloud infrastructures, including Microsoft’s Azure platform and the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) milCloud. In addition, they have rationalized and decommissioned applications and capabilities across a portfolio supporting DOD logistics operations, achieved a 45% reduction in overall application footprint.

Edwards has maintained compliance to DLA’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure all applications meet DLA cybersecurity policies. Robert has also managed two separate teams of six technical FTE’s each in a 100% remote environment. In addition, they have built and maintained multiple SharePoint dashboards, pages, and lists to ensure compliance in the following areas: cybersecurity, Section 508, cloud migrations, and task tracking.

Edwards has provided the Technatomy Defense Business Unit contract portfolio mentoring and leadership for cloud migrations and technology refreshes. Robert has also worked on multiple business capture opportunities for Technatomy outside of Program Manager role. Deals ranged from $5MM to >$100MM.

Their manager is William Schaefer, President & CEO. They work with Aaron Mallin - Director, Capture Management, Roman Dzialo - VP, Strategic Programs, and Kelly Crenshaw - Director, Proposal Management.
