Alan B. Howe

Mr. Howe has extensive operational, corporate finance and business development experience. Since May 2005, he has served as Vice President of Strategic and Wireless Business Development for Covad Communications, Inc., a national broadband telecommunications company. From April 2001 to May 2005, Mr. Howe was a founding partner and principal at Broadband Initiatives, LLC, a boutique consulting and advisory firm.

Previously, Mr. Howe was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development of Teletrac, Inc. from 1995 to 2001. Mr. Howe joined Teletrac from Sprint, where he was Director of Corporate Development from 1994 to 1995 and one of the initial team members that helped start Sprint PCS.

Mr. Howe also serves on the Board of Directors of Selectica, Data I/O, Qualstar and several private boards in a variety of industries including enterprise software, wireless and IT services. He also previously served as Chairman of Ditech Networks that was sold to Nuance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Indiana University Kelley Graduate School of Business with a specialty in finance.
