Paul Arner has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering field. Paul began their career at SDRC as a Senior Software Engineer in 1989. Paul then joined PTC as a Senior Software Engineer in 1995, where they implemented various surfacing representations and worked on realtime manipulation of curves and surfaces. In 1999, they moved to think3 and worked there as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in curve and surface editing tools.
In 2005, Paul joined Spatial Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, where they focused on the classification of trimming curves on primitives and developed a G2 fillet with quintic cross sections. Paul then worked at Varimetrix Corp as a Senior Software Engineer before joining T-Splines in 2009 as a Software Engineer. At T-Splines, their work included implementing experiments with methods of solution for constrained least squares optimization and creating various patches based on different mathematical techniques.
Paul's next role was at AccessData Corp as a Senior Software Engineer from 2012 to 2013, where they worked on the core processing engine for digital forensics. Paul then joined Verisys Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they wrote software in Python to support background checks for the Medical Community. Paul also supported a REST API for customer access to the database.
In 2015, Paul joined Anark Corporation and Onshape Inc., both as a Principal Engineer. However, specific details about their responsibilities in these roles are not available.
Paul Arner earned a High School Diploma from American Heritage Christian in 1973. Paul went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Utah from 1978 to 1982. Paul then pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah from 1982 to 1984. Paul also attended Technische Universität Braunschweig in 1984 and later completed a PhD in Mathematics at the University of Utah from 1985 to 1987.
