Research Associate II at Ancera

Paul Manzi has held a variety of roles in the past few years. In 2022, they began working as a Research Associate II at Ancera. Prior to this, they worked at the University of New Haven from 2019-2022. During this time, they were a COVID-19 Health Action Team Coordinator/Member, where they helped coordinate the student-led effort to deal with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Paul also worked as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow (SURF), conducting research on the identification of bacteriophages that target Staphylococcus aureus MRSA strains. Additionally, they were an Academic Research and Project Management Teaching Assistant, helping to develop curriculum and teach students formal research skills, effective group management skills, and presentation skills. Lastly, they were a Molecular Biology Lab Assistant, preparing and aliquoting chemical and biological reagents for a lab class.

Paul Manzi began their educational journey in 2015 when they attended Narragansett High School. In 2018, they obtained an Emergency Care Attendant (EMT Ambulance) certification from Roger Williams University. Later that year, they began pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of New Haven, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In 2019, they obtained an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the Rhode Island Department of Health.
