Sam Fels has worked in the scientific field since 2009. Sam began as a Graduate Student at the University of Missouri, where they developed high throughput genetic techniques for use in Desulfovibrio vulgaris. In 2015, they moved to Yale University as a Postdoctoral Associate, where they studied the bacteria Campylobacter jejuni. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Ancera.
Sam Fels completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Truman State University from 2005 to 2009. Sam then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2009 to 2015.
