Derek Blatter

Derek Blatter has extensive experience in product management and payment operations, currently serving as the Director of Product - Commerce at Ancestry since September 2009. Derek has held various roles within Ancestry, including Principal Product Manager, Senior Product Manager - Payments, and Manager of Electronic Payments/Fraud Prevention, where leadership of the payment operations team focused on enhancing the customer payment experience and retention rates through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Prior roles included Sr. Payments Analyst, where design and implementation of department KPIs were key responsibilities, and Project Manager, overseeing project prioritization and vendor performance. Additionally, Derek contributed to the PaymentEd Forum as a volunteer merchant board member, sharing industry best practices. Educationally, Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah Valley University.
