Dwayne Watts is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in marketing, advertising, entertainment, and corporate contracts. Currently serving as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Ancestry since April 2018, Dwayne oversees legal matters related to marketing, advertising, PR, and entertainment programming. Prior roles include Senior Marketing, Sponsorship, Advertising, Privacy & IP Counsel at Valvoline, as well as Senior Counsel for marketing and entertainment at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. Dwayne has also held significant positions at Farmers Insurance, General Dynamics, Nexsen Pruet, Universal Music Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Ticketmaster Entertainment, demonstrating a strong background in M&A, corporate strategy, and legal advisory in various sectors. Dwayne holds an MBA in Finance from Indiana University, a BS/BA in Accounting from West Virginia University, and a JD from West Virginia University College of Law.
