Joe Buggy

Joe Buggy is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in genealogy and sociology. Currently serving as Research Team Manager at AncestryProGenealogists since June 2015, Joe held previous roles as Research Manager and Associate Genealogist within the same organization. Prior to Ancestry, Joe operated as a self-employed Professional Genealogist, delivering tailored research solutions to various clients. Additional experience includes roles as Research Associate at the American Sociological Association and Sociologist/Research Manager at George Mason University, where Joe managed significant data collection projects and improved budget management. Joe has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Westchester Community College and an Associate Lecturer at South East Technological University, alongside experience in survey interviewing and research assistance. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Politics, both from the University of Limerick.
