In 1966 two engineering professors at the UCLA were attending a tedious staff meeting. Having not met before, each professor was curious what the other was researching. One was a nuclear reactor designer. The other was performed dynamic earthquake tests on structures. Their conversation led to the creation of ANCO Engineers in 1971. Half a century later, ANCO provides innovative testing systems to university and industrial researchers worldwide.

ANCO has installed over two hundred dynamic testing systems worldwide and performed over three hundred structural tests in the field.
