Ella Doherty is an accomplished illustrator and designer with a strong background in both stationery and product design. Beginning a freelance career as an illustrator from June 2013 to 2016, Ella then worked as a product designer at Candlelight Products Limited from December 2016 to May 2017, where skills in CAD 3D product design were developed. Following this, Ella held the position of illustrator and product designer at Meri Meri from May 2017 to September 2020, concentrating on paper and textiles, along with surface pattern design. In April 2022, Ella joined Papier as a stationery designer, eventually advancing to senior stationery designer, overseeing cover artwork and themed journal designs. Ella also gained experience as an intern in the ideation studio at Hallmark Cards in April 2015. Currently, Ella serves as a senior graphic designer at &Open since October 2025. Ella holds two bachelor's degrees in illustration, one from the University of Plymouth and another from Arts University Plymouth, where the latter was awarded with distinction.
