Georges MacHeta

Georges Macheta currently serves as an Incoming Associate Software Engineer at Andersen Corporation and as a Business AI Fellow at Perplexity. Macheta co-founded Converteca, a lithium-ion battery recycling startup, securing over $75K in funding and developing proprietary technology with a provisional patent aimed at fire-risk reduction in battery recycling while leading business strategy and gaining finalist placements in various competitions. Previous experiences include roles as a Cloud Engineer Intern and Software Engineer Intern at Andersen Corporation and SPS Commerce, respectively, where Macheta contributed significantly to optimizing workflows and developing data pipelines. Macheta was also involved in high-frequency trading at Jane Street and held leadership roles, including President of the Computer Science Club at the University of St. Thomas, where a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship were earned.
