Michael Clark has a diverse work experience in both IT and financial auditing. Michael started their career at Ernst & Young LLP in 1994 as a Financial Auditor/Consultant, specializing in industries such as Entrepreneurial Services, Banking, and Life/Property Casualty Insurance. In their role, they also specialized in Information Security in Management Consulting. In 1997, they joined Andersen Corporation, where they held various roles including department manager, project manager, and internal consultant. Michael then progressed to become the Senior Manager of IT Strategy and Governance, the New Product Development Program Manager, and the IT Director. Finally, they served as the Vice President of Information Technology and the IT Director before leaving in 2014.

Michael Clark has an education background in both business management and finance. Michael obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with a double major in Accounting and Corporate Finance from Drake University, attending from 1990 to 1994.

Additionally, Michael Clark holds several certifications, although some are no longer active. Michael was a former Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute in December 1999. Michael also held the former designation of a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in NT4.0, and they were a former Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certified by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, both obtained in the past. Finally, Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), although their status is currently inactive according to the Minnesota State Board of Accountancy.
