Andra AP-fonden (AP2) is one of five buffer funds within the Swedish pension system, tasked with maximizing long-term return – and at low risk to pension disbursements. A committed asset manager, the Fund invests worldwide, in a wide range of assets like equities, fixed income and real estate.

The Fund’s strategic management model is based on financial theory and incorporates long-term forecasts covering demographic, socio-economic and capital-market developments.

Integrating sustainability
The Fund adopts an active approach to ethical, environmental and corporate governance issues, and has come far in making sustainability integral to portfolio management. Long-term investment requires companies capable of long-term sustainability, enabling them to generate a solid return that can provide a secure buffer for future pensions.

AP2 is an attractive employer, with a staff of around 70. It employs some of the foremost in their respective fields, as portfolio managers, analysts and other specialists. Together, this workforce ensures efficient portfolio management with over 80 percent of assets being managed in-house. The office is centrally located in Gothenburg.
