Mari Alvarez

Mari is a partner on the GTM team, where her main responsibility is leading the EBC (Executive Briefing Center) Coordination team.

Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, Mari worked at KPMG as a Meeting & Events planner. In that role, she successfully built and maintained relationships with diverse stakeholders and business groups to ensure exceptional service delivery aligned with event objectives and core priorities, with a primary focus on supporting the Boston Office Managing Partner.

Prior to her time at KPMG, Mari was a meeting planner at Cambridge Innovation Institute. There, she skillfully managed operational logistics and executed on-site arrangements for large domestic and international multi-day biotech and battery conferences.

Mari graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Hospitality Management.

Fun fact: Mari spent a year living in Paris, during which she enrolled in culinary courses at the Le Cordon Bleu.
