Matt Perault is currently the Head of AI Policy at Andreessen Horowitz and has been actively shaping technology policy through various leadership roles. They founded Open Water Strategies from 2021 to 2024 and served as Director of the Center on Technology Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, they directed global policy development at Facebook and led the Center on Science & Technology Policy at Duke University. Matt is pursuing a Master’s degree at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School.
