Michael Reed

Michael D. Reed is a senior policy and political professional with nearly two decades of experience across federal, state, and local levels. Currently, Michael serves as a Government Affairs Partner for Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Previously, Michael was a Senior Advisor for House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark and held various roles, including Chief of Staff for Congressman Eric Swalwell and Senior Advisor for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. With expertise in legislative policy and building bipartisan coalitions, Michael has also advised multiple political campaigns and served in key positions with the National Conference of State Legislatures and other prominent organizations. Michael is a proud native of Trenton, NJ, and resides in Washington, DC.
