Paul Oates

Paul Oates is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business development and strategic engagement across the energy and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Partner in the Commercial GTM-Regulated Industries at Andreessen Horowitz, Paul previously held pivotal roles at companies like Gecko Robotics, where Paul was the Global Head of Business Development, and Amazon Web Services, where Paul contributed as a Strategic Executive Engagements lead, Global Head of Product GTM, and Global Director, significantly increasing revenue and expanding operational strategies. Paul also has a strong foundation in operations from roles at Validere and Gibson Energy, where Paul was instrumental in growth initiatives. Paul’s career began in the military as an Intelligence Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Educationally, Paul holds an MBA from London Business School, a past certificate from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Calgary.
