Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith is an experienced Application Engineer currently with ANDRITZ, where significant contributions include becoming the local SME on a flagship software platform, developing an $800k Advanced Process Control solution, and creating a custom leak detection application that enhanced pipeline monitoring. Previous roles span several companies, including icetana, where scaling a video processing application was a key achievement, and Bionic Vision Technologies, where development of innovative algorithms for a bionic eye system earned FDA recognition. Daniel's background also includes extensive teaching and tutoring experience in computing, alongside software development roles at Cochlear and Senceive, where Daniel contributed to cloud-based solutions and patented technologies. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New South Wales.
