Michael Schmid is a senior leader in the hydro power industry, currently serving as Senior Director of Global Sales for Large Hydro at ANDRITZ Hydro since March 2025. With a career at ANDRITZ Hydro beginning in January 2006, Michael has held various roles including Head of Department for Large Hydro Global Sales Support and Head of Generator Sales of Large Hydro Projects, along with experience as a Project Manager. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from the Universität für Weiterbildung Krems and a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Technische Universität Wien.
