Cuong Tran

Cuong Tran has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Cuong started their career in 2004 as a Software Engineer at the Centre for Development of Information Technology, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, where they worked on projects such as the Postal Money Order Project and the development of a Corporate Mail System. In 2007, they joined the University of California, San Diego as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant, specializing in intelligent driver assistance systems and gesture-based interactive games. Cuong then worked as an Intern at Toyota Technical Center in 2012 before moving on to be a Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. from 2012 to 2015. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Anduin Transactions, starting in 2015.

Cuong Tran has a strong education background in the field of Computer Science. Cuong obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University of Technology (Centre for Gifted Education) between 1999 and 2004. Cuong then pursued further studies at UC San Diego, where they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2008. Subsequently, they continued their education at UC San Diego and successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2012.
