Jonathan Smith has a diverse work experience that spans over 14 years. Jonathan started their career as a Contract Accountant, providing accounting services to oil and gas organizations. After that, they worked as a Field Service Specialist at Schlumberger, where they were responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of electric submersible pumps in the oil and gas industry. Later, they joined Clean Nova Scotia as a Project Management Intern, where they focused on energy efficiency program development and implementation. Jonathan then moved on to TERA Environmental Consultants as an Environmental Planner. Currently, they hold multiple roles at Anew, including Vice President Portfolio Management and Vice President.
Jonathan Smith completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance and Economics at Bishop's University from 2002 to 2006. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Technology Petroleum Engineering (BAPT) at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2009 to 2011. Lastly, they obtained their Masters of Resource and Environmental Management (MREM) in Resource and Environmental Management from Dalhousie University between 2012 and 2014.
