Managing Director & Head of Portfolio Risk & Analytics at Angelo Gordon

Michael Fu joined Angelo Gordon in 2012. He is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Risk and Analytics, responsible for the quantitative modeling, risk reporting and risk advisory functions. Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley‘s Market Risk Department, overseeing market risk of Credit Derivative Trading desk . Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was associated with American Express’s Risk Management function and worked in merchant bankruptcy and liquidation research team. Before joining American Express, Michael worked as an engineer in automotive industry where he worked in quantitative modeling field at Ford Motor Co. Michael is a Charted Financial Analyst and holds an M.B.A. degree from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, an M.S. degree from University of Michigan, Dearborn and a B.S. degree from Tongji University, Shanghai, China.
