Mel Carter

Mel Carter is a board member at AngelSpan. Mel has also served as the SVP Membership Services at the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce and as a consultant for various businesses. In their most recent position, they were responsible for leading the turnaround of the chamber with respect to the value proposition to the members and other investors, building quality networking events, right-sizing the operations, and applying basic business practices to the daily operations. Prior to that, they consulted businesses in a variety of industries, ranging from oilfield internet start-ups to industrial security businesses to electronics manufacturing acquisitions.

Mel Carter has a MBA in Finance and International Business from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
