Manuel Parente is an experienced investor and technology leader, currently serving as an Angel Investor at Angels Way, where the focus is on supporting startups in Portugal with social impact and growth potential. Parente is also a member of the PEF Community. Previously, Parente held the position of Chief Information Officer at Ocean Infinity, leading a team to develop advanced systems for the maritime industry. Prior to this, Parente was the Founder and CTO of Abyssal, a company specializing in 3D Visualization and Digitalization, which was acquired in 2021. Parente co-founded PracticalWay Software Portugal S.A. and served as Chief Technical Officer. Educational qualifications include a degree in Computer Engineering from Faculdade Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and recent completion of a course in Strategic Decision Making for Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
