Benjamin Wagner

Benjamin Wagner is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in metadata and query processing. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Firebolt since May 2021, Benjamin leads efforts in distributed transactions, query planning, and high-performance query execution. Prior experience includes roles as an Engineering Manager and Team Lead for Query Processing at the Technical University of Munich, where Benjamin focused on adaptive workload management. Additionally, a Software Engineer Intern position at Snowflake involved work on high-performance query processing, particularly in just-in-time compilation for a vectorized query engine. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, all from the Technical University of Munich.
