Shuyu Chu is an accomplished medicinal chemist currently serving as Associate Principal Scientist at Anima Biotech since February 2023, following a role as Senior Scientist in the same field. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Scientist at UCB from September 2018 to November 2021, where Shuyu worked on a small-molecule interleukin IL-17 inhibitor project, achieving significant milestones in lead optimization for immunological disorders. Shuyu also contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, focusing on asymmetric transformations for novel prostaglandin synthesis, and as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Surrey, identifying compounds against DNA repair enzymes.
