Forrest E. Zimmerman

Forrest E. Zimmerman has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and web development. Forrest most recently worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Anitian starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Staff Software Engineer at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. from June 2020 to August 2021, where they led the development of UI for the Cloud and Connectivity platforms.

From October 2016 to August 2020, Forrest served as the CTO and co-founder of DubbelSpace, where they were responsible for the development, design, and deployment of the DubbelSpace application. Forrest utilized various technologies such as AngularJs, NodeJs, and AWS to build and host the application. Forrest worked closely with the CEO to translate business goals into technological solutions.

Before DubbelSpace, Forrest worked as a Senior Developer at Spokeo from February 2016 to June 2020. Forrest played a crucial role as a full-stack application developer, team lead, and Scrum Master, following agile methodologies to deliver high-quality code. Forrest worked with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, NodeJs, and AWS to support Spokeo's main web application.

Prior to Spokeo, Forrest gained web development experience as a Freelance Web Developer at Loud Canvas Media from September 2015 to February 2016. Forrest utilized the LAMP technology stack, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, and MySQL, to develop custom websites and WordPress projects. Forrest also communicated directly with clients to manage project status and fulfill their requirements.

Forrest's prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Angus Energy from April 2014 to August 2015, where they worked on full-stack development using technologies such as Node JS, Angular JS, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS3, MongoDb, and SQL. Forrest also served as an Application Developer Specialist at CIGNA Group Insurance from January 2012 to April 2014, developing and deploying WCF and C#.NET web services to support Enterprise Group Insurance lines of business.

Additionally, Forrest has held positions as a Web Developer at Loud Canvas Media from June 2011 to June 2012, an Information Security Intern at Philadelphia Gas Works from June 2010 to December 2011, and an Academic Systems Intern at Millersville University from February 2008 to December 2008. Forrest then transferred to Temple University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, which they completed between 2009 and 2011.
