Emily Gitlin is an accomplished health professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Global Health from Duke University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. Gitlin's experience includes serving as a Health Care Coordinator at Lincoln Community Health Center and as a Public Health Advisor at Blue Roof Life Space. In a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Duke University, Gitlin addressed hypertension disparities in African American patients and conducted longitudinal assessments of orphaned children’s mental health in India, presenting research at multiple conferences. Currently, Gitlin works as a Research Associate in Global Health at Weill Cornell Medicine, coordinating a NIH-funded study on the interplay between HIV, gestational diabetes, and TB among pregnant women in India, while also actively engaging as a Group Fitness Instructor at Ann Arbor YMCA.
