Jim Gustavsson

Jim Gustavsson has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Jim began their career in 1997 as a Software Developer at TietoEnator Objectec. Jim then worked as a Software Developer at Doubleway International AB and EDS Group before joining Capital C AB as a Software Developer in 2002. In 2005, Jim became an Integration Architect at Enfo Zystems.

In 2008, Jim joined Ericsson as a Software Designer, working on product development within the Software Defined Networking area. Jim held various roles within the company, including Software Designer, Senior Software Developer, and DevOps Engineer. During this time, Jim gained experience in programming languages such as C++, Erlang, Go, Python, and Java.

In 2020, Jim joined Meltwater as a Senior Software Engineer. Jim worked in a team that managed a petabyte-sized search cluster based on Elasticsearch running on AWS. Jim'sresponsibilities included AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure management, Java and Kotlin programming, and utilizing Terraform and other tools.

In 2021, Jim joined Xenit AB as a DevOps Engineer, where they focused on maintaining and improving the company's DevOps processes.

In 2023, Jim moved on to work at Ericsson Software as a Cloud Engineer, specializing in cloud infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.

Currently, Jim Gustavsson is a Platform Engineer at Kognic, where they utilize their expertise in cloud technologies and platform engineering.

Throughout their career, Jim has demonstrated proficiency in various areas, including cloud engineering, DevOps, software development, and system architecture.

Jim Gustavsson started their education at Kalmar University from 1990 to 1993, where they studied Computer Software Engineering. Jim then attended Umeå University from 1993 to 1995 and pursued studies in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Jim Gustavsson has obtained several certifications from IBM.
