Candace Borland

Partner, President, Toronto at Anomaly

Since joining Anomaly Toronto as one of the first employees back in 2012, Candace has played a fundamental role in shaping the agency team, culture and roster of world-class clients. At Anomaly, she has worked across pillar clients such as AB InBev, MINI, Nike & Diageo, and has over 14+ years of cross-category experience working on blue chip brands. In addition to client work, Candace spearheaded the establishment of Anomaly Québec within the Toronto office, along with a club for young professional women, and the ongoing partnership with Pencils of Promise.

After receiving her Honors B.Comm in Marketing Management & Consumer Studies, Candace spent several years in the UK, Australia and South America doing everything from working with start-ups to sales and experiential marketing. She began her career in advertising at Downtown Partners (DDB), also working at GRIP Limited and Publicis. A humanitarian at heart, Candace co-founded a registered charity called Feet Forward Organization, which partners with local NGO's to assist refugees and asylum seekers to South Africa.

A bilingual native Québecoise, Candace grew up on a dairy farm near Montréal. Outside of Anomaly, Candace is active in her family business, an internationally renowned livestock, genetics and export company with distribution in over 30 countries. Her newest venture is a Fullblood Japanese Wagyu business that focuses on and advocates for premium, ethically raised beef.
