David Cai

Currently serving as Vice President at Ant Group since 2024, David previously held the position of Managing Partner at StarRock Ventures from 2021 to 2023, focusing on early-stage AI and tech investments. David founded and served as CEO of DeepDot from 2019 to 2021, specializing in AI-based video content generation. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Google from 2013 to 2017, where David contributed to deep learning-based image content annotation, and as Co-Founder and CTO of VisualGraph, a visual search engine acquired by Pinterest in 2013. David holds an MBA from Stanford University, an MS in Computer Vision/Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.E. in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
