Ming Yang

Ming Yang is a seasoned researcher currently serving as the Head of the Multi-Modality Cognition Department at Ant Group since January 2023. With a robust background in artificial intelligence and software development, previous roles include Chief Scientist at xForwardAI, Co-founder and Vice President of Software at Horizon Robotics, and Research Scientist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR). Ming's early career features significant positions as a Senior Research Staff Member at NEC Laboratories America and internships at notable companies such as FX Palo Alto Laboratory and Siemens Medical Solutions. Ming holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University, as well as a Master and Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University. Education was initiated with a high school diploma from Tianjin No.1 Middle School.
