Michael Sivell has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Michael is currently working at AnteoTech as a Senior Scientist, responsible for innovation and capability development. Michael also serves as the WHS Coordinator, overseeing safety and risk management in alignment with the company's objectives. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Senior Scientist and Production Engineer at AnteoTech.

Before joining AnteoTech, Michael was a Research Scientist at Sangui Bio Pty Ltd, where they conducted research on maternal inflammation and its impact on pregnancy and offspring health outcomes. Michael aimed to develop an inflammation monitoring system for improved public health.

During their gap year, Michael took time off from work.

Earlier in their career, Michael held a senior research and development scientist role at Cryosite Limited. Michael was responsible for the research, development, and implementation of umbilical cord tissue cryopreservation and tissue cell culture. Michael also managed laboratory operations and supervised the processing of over 1500 client samples.

Michael's previous experience includes a research fellowship at Regeneus Ltd and pursuing a PhD at the University of Sydney. Michael was actively involved in student committees and residential networking during their time at UTS: University of Technology, Sydney.

Michael Sivell began their education journey in 2005 when they enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney. Michael pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a specialization in Forensic Biology, completing the program in 2007. Following this, in 2008, they attended the same institution to pursue a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) degree, focusing on Integral membrane proteomics of mammalian cells, which they finished in the same year.

In 2009, Michael Sivell joined the University of Sydney for their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program, specializing in Proteomics of in vivo fungal infectious disease. Michael successfully completed their PhD in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Sivell obtained certifications in Process Validation from PharmOut in April 2022, and in Quality Management Systems ISO 13485 from the same institution in December 2021.
