Anthony Nolan
Michaela Agapiou is a Postdoctoral Bioinformatics Research Scientist at Anthony Nolan since June 2022 and concurrently serves as a Producer for The Story Collider. Previously, Michaela completed a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Leeds from October 2016 to April 2021, focusing on RNA-protein interactions and infertility in fruit flies. During that time, Michaela held roles as the BBSRC White Rose DTP Student Representative and Athena SWAN Student Representative, contributing to student feedback processes and gender equality initiatives, respectively. Earlier experiences include an internship with The Story Collider and a Predoctoral Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, along with a Nuffield Research Placement at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences. Michaela earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with Professional Experience from The University of Manchester in 2016.
