Fata Ashari

Fata Ashari is a Senior Research Scientist at Anthropic, where they have been a core researcher on the Claude LLM family since 2021. They led experiments on constitutional AI and safe instruction-tuning, and designed scalable fine-tuning pipelines utilizing a large GPU cluster. Prior to this role, Fata worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Speech & NLP group at Microsoft Research Asia, where they developed conversational systems, and previously held research positions at OpenAI and Google DeepMind, focusing on language models and data efficiency. Fata also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Stanford University, where they began their studies prior to their current tenure.
