Peter Alexander is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the technology and gaming industries. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic, Peter is part of the Model Context Protocol Team since August 2025. Prior to this role, Peter spent over eleven years at Meta, progressing from Senior Staff Software Engineer to tech lead on significant projects including Horizon Worlds and Horizon Workrooms, and co-founding Facebook's reactive database infrastructure that underpinned GraphQL Live Queries. Earlier in his career, Peter held a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead position at Codemasters, contributing to acclaimed titles and overseeing various development aspects. Peter started professional programming as a Junior Programmer at Spinfast and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from The University of Western Australia.
