Ruben Amarasingham

Ruben Amarasingham is the Founder and CEO of Pieces Technologies, Inc., a healthcare AI R&D firm established in January 2016 that leverages ensemble AI methods to enhance the work of healthcare professionals. In addition to leading Pieces Technologies, Ruben serves as an Advisory Board Member at Anthropic, beginning in March 2025, and has previous experience on the National Board of Directors at HIMSS from June 2016 to July 2019. Before founding Pieces Technologies, Ruben was the President and CEO of PCCI from January 2013 to January 2017, where the focus was on scientific research and applied analytics to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. Other notable roles include Director of Biomedical Informatics at UT Southwestern and Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Clinical Sciences from August 2006 to March 2016. Ruben holds a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar degree in Health Service Research and Biomedical Informatics, along with an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University, where education was completed between January 2003 and January 2006.
