Sam Powers currently serves as the Public Sector GTM at Anthropic, having joined the company in November 2025. As a co-founder of Lens on Life Project since May 2016, Sam focuses on empowering youth facing adversity through photography and digital literacy initiatives. Additionally, Sam is an affiliate at New York University's Initiative for the Study of Emerging Threats and a strategic advisor for REV, a community-building platform. Previously, Sam held various senior roles at Kharon, including Vice President of Public Sector, where complex data was harnessed for global security and risk management. Sam's extensive experience in the public sector also includes a tenure at Dataminr, where significant contributions were made to social good and nonprofit partnerships. Sam's educational background comprises a Master of Science in Global Affairs from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from Occidental College, among other qualifications.
