Andrew Stewart

Andrew Stewart currently serves as the Head of Conflict Research at The Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research since January 2024 and is an Honorary Professor at The Australian National University. Additionally, Andrew holds the position of Visiting Professor at King's College London since August 2014, where there is a substantial academic focus on Modern Conflict History, alongside prior roles as Professor of Modern Conflict History and Reader in Conflict and Diplomacy. Experience includes Lektor at the Royal Danish Defence College, Principal MDSP and Professor of War Studies at The Australian National University, Director of Academic Studies at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, and Higher Command and Staff Course Land Historian at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. Andrew’s academic foundation includes a PhD in War Studies from King's College London, obtained between 1995 and 2001.
