Ben Long - Ally

Ben Long is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle since June 2023, previously holding various academic roles at The Australian National University since April 2003, including Honorary Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow. Ben has extensive experience in research and education, having contributed to projects such as the NAVIGATE Program at Defence Science and Technology (DST) from May 2022 to May 2023, which focused on enhancing the capabilities and diversity of Defence’s mid-career workforce. Prior positions include roles at Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency, the University of Surrey, and Deakin University, among others. Ben earned a PhD in Cyanobacterial toxins and a BSc (Hons) in Biological Science from La Trobe University.
