Celine D'Orgeville

Celine d'Orgeville is a distinguished leader in astronomy and space instrumentation, currently serving as Program Director at the Australia Telescope National Facility with CSIRO since February 2025. Concurrently, Celine holds multiple prestigious positions at The Australian National University, including Honorary Professor and Director of the ANU Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre, leading a team of over 50 professionals in developing state-of-the-art instrumentation. Celine's expertise in Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics is recognized worldwide, with significant contributions as the Australian Principal Investigator for notable projects such as the ULTIMATE-Subaru Ground Layer AO and the Giant Magellan Telescope Laser Tomography AO. Celine's career includes leading roles at the Gemini Observatory, significantly advancing the Gemini Adaptive Optics laser program, and completing a PhD focused on innovative laser technologies. Celine's educational background includes advanced degrees in Optical Engineering and Photonics from Institut d'Optique Graduate School and Paris-Sud University.
