Chennupati Jagadish

Chennupati Jagadish is a Distinguished Professor at the Australian National University with over 40 years of research experience in semiconductor physics, materials science, and optoelectronic devices. They lead the Semiconductor Optoelectronics and Nanotechnology Group, have published more than 750 journal papers, and trained over 60 PhD students. Jagadish has held leadership roles in various professional societies, such as President of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council and the IEEE Photonics Society, and has founded a company to commercialize semiconductor laser technology. Currently, they serve as a Non-Executive Director at the Australian National Fabrication Facility and continue to support aspiring researchers from developing countries through an endowment they established.
