Chris Barrie

Honorary Professor

Chris Barrie holds an MBA from Deakin University and has extensive leadership experience across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board at PTSD Australia New Zealand since April 2014, Chris leads efforts to support individuals affected by PTSD across Australia and New Zealand. As a Moderator for the Oxford Stimulus Forum since November 2007, Chris utilizes resources from the University of Oxford to aid alumni in addressing their leadership challenges. Additionally, Chris serves as an Honorary Professor at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre of the Australian National University, engaging in critical national security and defence discussions. As Principal of Critical Decisions Pty Ltd since July 2002, Chris focuses on decision-making within complex organizations. Previously, Chris chaired the Kioloa Coastal Campus Commission and held the role of Distinguished Visiting Professor at the National Defense University, where leadership programs were facilitated. Notably, Chris served as Chief of the Defence Force in the Australian Defence Force from July 1998 to July 2002, achieving the rank of Admiral.
