Chris Murphy

Chris Murphy has extensive experience in the field of economic modelling and policy analysis. Currently serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University since October 2014, Chris focuses on economy-wide modelling related to tax and macroeconomic policy, alongside economic consulting work. Previously, Chris was the Director at Independent Economics from October 2011 to June 2017, providing economic modelling services and policy analysis both in Australia and internationally. Prior to that, a Principal at KPMG Australia and Director at Econtech Pty Ltd from March 1994 to June 2011, Chris has a robust academic background with a Master of Economics from The Australian National University and an Honours Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
