Farid Attar

Farid Attar is a highly skilled research professional with a focus on energy and innovative electrolyser technologies. Currently serving as a Research Fellow/R&D Scientist at The Australian National University since February 2025, Farid has previously worked at ACT-H2 as an R&D Scientist/research officer, where the primary focus was on catalyst development and scaling up electrolyser systems. With extensive experience as a Research Assistant at The Australian National University, Farid contributed to the hydrogen course by designing laboratory experiments and managing equipment procurement. Educational qualifications include a PhD in energy and electrochemical/photoelectrochemical water splitting from The Australian National University, a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Technology from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Shiraz University.
