Fern Hyde

Fern Hyde currently serves as the Senior Manager of Academic Competencies and Digital Capabilities at The Australian National University, starting in December 2023. Prior to this, Fern held several positions at the University of Canberra, including Manager of HDR Development, where leadership was provided to enhance transferable research skills for Higher Degree by Research candidates, and Researcher Development Specialist, overseeing various training programs for HDR candidates and research staff. Fern's extensive experience in education began at the ACT Education Directorate as an Assistant Director, where professional learning programs were managed, along with prior roles as an EAL/D teacher and Clinical Teaching Specialist. Fern holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education, a Master of Education in Teaching English as an Additional Language, and a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching, all from the University of Canberra.
