Frances Shannon

Frances Shannon is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as Emeritus Professor at both the University of Canberra and The Australian National University, Frances has contributed significantly to academic leadership as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at the University of Canberra from January 2010 to June 2018. Prior to these roles, Frances held the position of Director at the John Curtin School of Medical Research at ANU from 2008 to 2010. Frances holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both obtained from University College Dublin.
